Mission Statement
Our Mission is to provide a program that focuses on the intellectual, moral, social, spiritual, and physical needs of each individual child, as well as teach the significance of growing up today as a child of God.
General Information
First Baptist Child Development Center is located on the campus of the First Baptist Family Life Center. The building is designed for the utmost efficiency. It is air-conditioned and fire resistant. Each room is furnished with the latest equipment and outdoor play areas are available. In addition, the numerous facilities of the Family Life Center are at our disposal, which include a full-sized gymnasium, baseball/softball field, and swimming pool. These facilities offer spacious recreational areas which allow for games and other gross motor activities in which children may participate.
Licensing
First Baptist Child Development Center is a state licensed facility and is licensed for approximately 160 children. Licenses are reviewed periodically after inspections by the Health Department, Fire Department, and Department of Social Services. Our license is always current and displayed by the front desk.
Program Descriptions
Programs are designed for specific age groups. Each day brings opportunities to play, investigate, and express ideas through spiritual, moral, emotional, and physical development, group interaction, hands on activities, language and music experiences, and health and safety programs.
The Full Day Child Development Program is designed to provide developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for infants (age 6 weeks +) through preschool age children. This program provides good physical care and a warm, nurturing environment for children who need care on a full-time basis.
The Pre School Program is designed to provide curriculum instruction to toddlers – four-year-old from 9:00 am – 12:00 PM. Before and after care are available and are included in tuition as there is not a separate cost for this program. The program provides curriculum, music and movement, structured outdoor activity, center-based activity, arts and crafts, daily devotion, and weekly chapel.
The After-School Program includes fun and relaxing activities for school aged children, Kindergarten through fifth grade. Daily devotions, arts and crafts, free outdoor play (weather permitting), games, snacks, gym time, and study time are all available.
Our Summer Camp Program is a special program designed for school age children who have completed 4-year-old kindergarten through fifth grade. The program provides fun and excitement throughout the summer and includes weekly themed activities, swimming, arts and crafts, field trips, indoor and outdoor games, basic sports and much more.
